It seems more revelations are comig forth since Australian negotiator, Dr. Stephen Davies accused some prominent Nigerians of funding the terror group Boko Haram.
It is said that Engr. Modu Fannami Gubio was expected to succeed Modu Sheriff in the 2011 general election but was killed one week before his appointment.
Power Steeering reveals that they had a secret conversation with one Mustapha Kolo, who is a detained Boko Haram member.
Kolo goes on to reveal to the publication that there exists a relationship between the sect and the Borno State governor right from his time as a commissioner.
Kolo went further and added that Shettima himself has been funding the sect and even had meetings with Boko Haram leaders to discuss further assasination of some prominent Borno citizens and politicians, who did not share his own political ideas.
In Kolo’s words:“When he (Shettima) was Commissioner, he used to give us plenty money.
He even gave us money to kill Fannami Gubio, so he can become governor, but he did not complete his payment; we were following him, he didn’t give us again”. He said.
Boko Haram has been a troublesome disease in Nigeria’s Northeast since 2009.
They have bombed schools and places of worship and killed over 5000 Nigerian including kidnappings also.
Australian Negotiator, Mr Davies had made news recently when he revealed he managed to talk to the sect leaders and found out who funded them.
