Work that must not be named! Harry Potter star Emma Watson is at the center of an investigation surrounding her American housekeeper, The Independent reports.
The British newspaper claims that Watson’s employee illegally worked in the UK, cleaning the Noah star’s £2 million London home. During the time she worked for the actress, the woman held a tourist visa, which banned her from working.
She reportedly worked for the recent Brown University graduate in New York at the start of 2013 and then traveled to London to work at a separate residence from September 2013 through February 2014.
Questions arose when she was stopped by UK immigration and asked how she intended to pay for her stay in Britain. Watson has yet to comment on the matter, but if the claims are true, she could face a fine of up to £10,000 or about $17,000 in USD.
