Senate approves GEJ's $1billion loan to fight Boko Haram


The Senate has approved the $1billion (N165bn) loan requested by President Jonathan in July to help in the fight against terrorism and tackle insecurity in the country. The loan would be used for the purchase of military equipment and the training of military personnel.

One Of The Abducted Chibok Girls Found In Adamawa



One of the Chibok girls who were abducted by Islamist sect Boko Haram from their school in Borno State on April 14 has been found by the police in Adamawa State.

The student identified as Susan Ishaya was reportedly found in Mubi, Adamawa State, two days after she was thrown off a truck by her captors, reports Thisday.

Atiku Abubakar Formally Declares Intention to Contest in 2015 Presidential Election

Former vice-president of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has formally declared his intention to run for the 2015 presidential elections.

He will be contesting via the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, Punch reports.

Abubakar made the formal declaration yesterday, at a ceremony that took place at the Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.
