Some of the things Pres. Jonathan said during his media chat this evening


President Jonathan held a media chat this evening and below are a few important points he put across.

He said in Lagos, on 38% have their PVCs, so if elections are held, 62% will not be able to vote.

About Boko Haram, he said there is no hiding place for the terrorist group. That he had meetings with the President of Chad and he said before he can send troops to Nigeria, the AU have to be involved. He also said Boko Haram doesn't necessarily have to be completely wiped out before elections are conducted. He also said taking over the territories captured by Boko Haram does not mean that the group have been wiped out.

Obasanjo Warns Against Coup, Declares Support for Buhari



Baba has finally taken his stand after refusing to join the campaign of Goodluck Jonathan for deceiving in 2010 that he would spend only six years in office if Baba Olusegun Obasanjo can support him to get the PDP ticket to complete the tenure of late President Umaru Yar'Adua.

Obasanjo has thus declared his support for the presidential candidate of the APC, Muhammadu Buhari.

Musiliu Obanikoro sues Sahara Reporters & co. Full report...


Former Minister of State for Defence, Sen. Musiliu Obanikoro has gone to court to seek redress over a case of defamation of character by online newspapers Sahara Reporters and Premium Times. Joined in the suit are Punch Newspapers Ltd., Omoyele Sowore, Publisher of Sahara Reporters and Festus Owete, General Editor at Premium Times.

The defendants had published an audio recording of Senator Musiliu Obanikoro, purportedly in a conversation with other individuals to rig the Ekiti State gubernatorial elections, an allegation Senator Obanikoro and the others have since disclaimed.

SHOCKING: Presidency don't want INEC to use card readers


Clearly, something is wrong and some people are determined to destroy the platform for free and fair election. Why should anyone reject the use of card readers which can check multiple voting and other forms of election rigging? OluFamous.Com observed that this is not the way to go, not at this stage.

In the issues of PVC, most people in the North are casual and individual workers, who can leave their place of work at anytime to go and collect their PVC, but in Lagos and other major cities in the South, most people work in companies and offices where it is difficult to take excuse(s) to go for PVC.
