Kalu Says Boko Haram Is Politically Instigated


Orji Uzor Kalu, the former governor of Abia State, and a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party has said the dreaded terrorist group, Boko Haram is politically instigated by some enemies of democracy in Nigeria.  

According to the Nation, the ex-governor, who made this assertion while speaking at the national secretariat of the PDP, expressed optimism that with someone like him in the party, President Goodluck Jonathan’s victory in 2015 general election is sure.

Timaya Says He Can Never Go Broke Again



Nigerian singer and songwriter, Enetimi Alfred Odom, popularly known as Timaya has sparked outrage of many when he took to his Instagram page to announce that he can never go broke again.
Yesterday, the Odi, Bayelsa State-born, Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa, took to his IG page to say he can’t go broke no more.

 According to Timaya, he has lost the ability to go broke and it’s all God’s blessing. It however tunred out that one of his fans who has had an encounter with him, didn’t like the statement at all so he vented his anger on the singer’s IG page.

APC Alleges Jonathan Knows More About Boko Haram Than He Is Saying


The opposition party has alleged that President Goodluck Jonathan might know more about Boko Haram than he is saying.

It comes in the limelight of disclosures made by the Australian Stephen Davis, who had alleged that the former Chief of Army Azubuike Ihejirika and ex Borno State governor Ali Modu Sheriff were among major insurgency sponsors in the country.

According to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Jonathan demonstrated a shocking act of indiscretion by closely communicating with Sheriff, who is believed to be under investigation over the sponsorship allegation, P.M. News reports.

What PDP Plans On Doing To APC Members



The National Vice Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, South-South zone, Dr Cairo Ojugbo, on Monday revealed that the party will campaign to members of the All Progressive Congress in Rivers and Edo States.

Speaking to NAN reporter in Abuja, Ojugbo expressed optimism that the party will prevail on APC members in the zone to support President Goodluck Jonathan’s re-election in 2015.

How Six University Students Died

 Tragedy struck in Gombe state as six students of the Gombe State University died in a fatal car accident which occured on Saturday, September 6.

The car the deceased were travelling in was said to have collided with another vehicle at Sharfuri village in Kirfi Local Government area of Bauchi State on the Bauchi-Gombe Road.

According to Tribune, the Bauchi State Police Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Haruna Muhammed,  in a statement said the deceased students were among other passengers travelling in a red Volswagen Vento motor vehicle with registration no DAL 195-Gj.
