Ebola Solution: WHO Recommends To Use Survivors' Blood


The World Health Organization (WHO) revealed how the use of Ebola survivors’ blood could help the infected patients to recover.

While there is no approved drug for the deadly tropical virus which has already claimed around 2,000 lives in West Africa, hundreds of people still have managed to win the battle with Ebola.  Health experts say that such survivors develop antibodies in their blood and thus immunity from further infection, Premium Times reports.

Adultery Scandal Rocks Methodist Church


Controversy has trailed the reinstatement of one Methodist Church priests, Rev Abayomi Okesanya who was sent on suspen­sion for alleged adultery as church members at the Ereko circuit, Di­ocese of Lagos, Methodist Church of Nigeria are protesting his return.

Aggrieved members of the church located at No 18 Ereko Street, Idumota, Lagos have vowed to re­sist the return of the priest.

According to The Sun, the Priest’s wife, Yemisi Okesanya accused him of impregnating another woman.

Nigeria vs Congo: Shock For Players And Fans

Nigeria’s Super Eagles had their first qualifying match in Group A on their way to Morocco for AFCON 2015 on September 6, 2014, Saturday.



It all started well, especially after an early goal by Afe Ambrose, about 13 minutes after the start. But then it was a shock for the defending African champions and their fans. Three conceded goals in a row put the team 1-3 behind. The search for two late equalizers was only 50% successful.

The Super Eagles lost their first game in Calabar, 2-3. Before today, their worst performance at this stadium was a 1-1 draw vs Kenya last year.

How Veteran Journalist, Dimgba Igwe Died

The Late Dimgba Igwe died on Saturday morning after being hit by a car while jogging on his street in the  Okota area of Lagos.


According to The Sun, Dimgba Igwe who was the Vice Chairman of  The Sun Publishing Limited, sustained a fatal injury and was immediately taken to the hospital where he underwent surgical emergency, unfortunately he died afterwards.

The President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, Femi Adeshina who is also the Editor-in-Chief of Sun Newspaper confirmed the death of Mr Igwe‎, described it as shocking saying: “Yes it’s true. He was my boss, he was my mentor, I feel his devastated about his death”.
